Privacy Policy for SpeakAll

SpeakAll is an Android ebook, document, text-to-speech, audiobook, OCR, translation, and AI voice application developed by R. H. Najafi.

Effective date: October 11, 2026 · Package: com.speakall.najafi

1. Scope and contact

This Privacy Policy explains how SpeakAll accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app. The developer identified in the Google Play listing is responsible for SpeakAll.

For privacy questions or requests, use the Developer contact mechanism shown on SpeakAll's Google Play listing. SpeakAll does not require a user account.

2. Information processed on your device

Most core reading features are designed to work locally on your Android device. Depending on the feature you use, SpeakAll may process:

SpeakAll does not intentionally upload the contents of files to the developer's server merely to perform ordinary local document reading or local OCR.

3. OCR, text-to-speech, and speech recognition

OCR is performed on-device using Google ML Kit and, where applicable, bundled/local OCR components. Android text-to-speech uses the speech engine installed on your device.

If you choose speech input, SpeakAll launches Android's speech-recognition service. The recognition provider installed or selected on your device may process audio or speech data under that provider's own privacy terms. SpeakAll itself does not request the Android RECORD_AUDIO permission.

4. Translation

Offline translation

SpeakAll can use Google ML Kit on-device translation. Language models may be downloaded from Google when needed. After a model is available, translation can be performed on-device.

AI translation

If you choose an AI translation mode, the text you submit, together with source/target language information, is sent over HTTPS to SpeakAll's Cloudflare Worker. The Worker forwards the request through Cloudflare AI Gateway to Google's AI service to generate the translation.

5. AI Voice

If you choose AI Voice, the text you ask SpeakAll to read, your selected AI voice, and speaking-style information are sent over HTTPS to SpeakAll's Cloudflare Worker and then through Cloudflare AI Gateway to Google's AI service so an audio response can be generated.

The SpeakAll app does not contain the private Cloudflare or Google AI service credential. Those credentials are held server-side. SpeakAll's Worker is configured not to intentionally store the submitted text as an application database record; however, Cloudflare and Google may process or retain service, security, abuse-prevention, diagnostic, or operational data according to their own terms and policies.

6. File import from a link

If you enter a direct file URL, SpeakAll connects to that URL over the internet to download the file you requested. The destination website or hosting provider may receive standard network information such as your IP address and request metadata. This user-initiated download is separate from SpeakAll's AI service.

7. Advertising

SpeakAll uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and may show three ad formats:

Google's advertising SDK may process information such as IP address, device/app identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, coarse location inferred from network information, ad interactions, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention information. The exact handling depends on device settings, region, consent state, and Google's advertising policies.

SpeakAll uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage advertising privacy choices where required. Personalized or non-personalized ad treatment may depend on your choices and applicable law.

SpeakAll also retrieves a small remote configuration from its Cloudflare Worker that contains only on/off flags for Banner, Interstitial, and Rewarded ad formats. This request does not send document text or AI content.

8. Analytics

SpeakAll uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, measure engagement, improve features, and monitor overall app usage.

Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically collect information such as app interactions and lifecycle events, number of users and sessions, session duration, app version, device model, operating system, Firebase installation/app-instance identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, and approximate geographic information such as country or region derived from masked IP or other network information.

SpeakAll does not request Android location permission or GPS access for Analytics. Approximate geographic reporting is derived by Google from network information and is used for analytics reporting such as country or region.

Analytics data is transmitted using encrypted connections and is processed by Google under its applicable Firebase/Google Analytics terms, retention settings, and privacy practices.

9. Permissions

SpeakAll may use the following Android capabilities:

SpeakAll does not request location, contacts, camera, SMS, phone, or direct microphone-recording permission in its current configuration.

10. Local storage, retention, and deletion

SpeakAll stores app preferences, recent-file information, cached extracted text used by the library/reader, reading positions, bookmarks, credits, and similar app state locally on your device. Android backup is disabled for the application.

Local information remains until you clear the relevant history/bookmarks where the app provides that option, clear SpeakAll's app storage from Android settings, or uninstall the app. Because SpeakAll does not provide user accounts, there is no server-side account profile to delete.

For AI requests, SpeakAll's Worker does not intentionally maintain a user content database. Third-party service providers may apply their own operational retention practices.

11. Data sharing and service providers

SpeakAll does not sell personal or sensitive user data. Information may be processed by service providers and third parties as needed for app functionality, analytics, advertising, security, and optional features, including:

12. Security

SpeakAll disables cleartext network traffic and uses HTTPS for its configured online services. Sensitive AI service credentials are not embedded in the Android app. Android application backup is disabled. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but reasonable safeguards are used for the app's design and supported services.

13. Children

SpeakAll is a general-purpose reading and productivity application and is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. If the app is offered to children in a jurisdiction where additional consent or advertising requirements apply, the developer will apply the required Google Play and advertising settings.

14. Your choices

15. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when SpeakAll changes its features, service providers, permissions, data practices, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.

Google Play consistency: the disclosures in the Google Play Data safety form should be kept consistent with this Privacy Policy and the actual SDKs/features shipped in the app.
